I get this question a lot. Who is Chair Yoga for?
Is it for frail seniors?
Well, Yes and No.
Chair yoga is for anyone who cannot or wishes not to get down on the floor.
Chair yoga is used in the classroom at schools for helping with focus and attention!
Chair Yoga is used for getting all the benefits of a regular yoga practice!
Chair Yoga is used as a tool for helping with balance, when one is doing standing yoga poses.
And yes, chair yoga is used for seniors, residential life, nursing homes, senior centers and more.

Thank you! It’s great for office workers too! It’s one of my favorite classes to teach, one of the reasons being, you can do this type of yoga in one’s street clothes!
Have a lot of chair based yoga videos over at:
Thanks for the kind words.
I believe with the current Pandemic yoga is an excellent way to relieve stress and help you relax. for those people that are unable to perform yoga on the floor, chair yoga is a fantastic alternative.
My wife and kids have started doing a bit of yoga at home.
keep up the good work Gail.
All the Best
